Birthday Bash at "Boots"

I had a blast at the Birthday Bash for dear friend Gustavo Ayllon Almeida held at the notorious and historic West Village landmark watering hole Boots & Saddles on Christopher Street on February 2nd.  Drag Divas, strippers and singers all got together to put on an exciting show to wish Gus a fantastic birthday.  The show was hosted by Victoria Chase and included a performance by recording artist Lovari.  The packed house was wild with enthusiasm! A great time with good friends is a perfect way to celebrate!

Art, Fashion, Music Fundraiser

There was a wonderful fundraising event that I was so glad to be a part of called Open Your Heart benefiting the organization One Sandwich at a Time, a charity that helps feed the homeless of New York City.  The event was held in collaboration with my dear friends photographer and reigning Mr. Paddles, Rob Ordonez and fashion designer Geary Marcello (FoXxy Face Couture).  There was an eclectic, fierce photographic art exhibit with images by Ordonez on display throughout the room and 50% of every piece of art sold was donated to the charity.  Geary Marcello had his show stopping couture gowns displayed on models with gold-leafing make-up by Tawni Michelle Lanford.  There was also a raging musical performance by recording artist Brett Gleason that was so hot, him and Rob had to remove their shirts to cool down.  The guest-list included Mr. Rawhide, Mr. North American Bear - Jed Ryan, photographers Steven Molofsky and Will Chiapella, models Alex Jimemez and Alec Seymour, DJ/Producer/Remixer Ravi Ramadeen (Myxotic), actor Taylor and many more.  The fun evening of art, fashion and music that raised funds for a good cause took place at The LGBT Center of NYC, 208 West 13th Street, New York City on January 24th.

Bowie - Elvis Birthday Bash

It was a slamming evening of sequins, lipstick and Rock n Roll! Glam Rock was shinning in all of its glory at the fiercest party called Oh You Pretty Things: Bowie and Elvis Birthday Bash.  It was an amazing birthday bacchanalia honoring Rock's two greatest Capricorns, David Bowie and Elvis Presley.  I loved making a special appearance at the event at the renowned Le Poisson Rouge in Greenwich Village in New York City on January 20th.  With performances by Screamin' Rebel Angels, Michael T and the Vanities and Benjamin Ickies and This Ambitious Orchestra.  The guestlist included:  Pepper Mint, Michael Formika Jones, photographer Rob Ordonez, Hunteur Vreeland, King Vulcanus, Tiffany Leigh, Milan and many others!

'Tis the Season for tinsel, glitter and bows!  When you're a Diva, the Holiday Season is anything but a drag!  Me and some of my dear "sisters" entertained the joyous crowd at the 9th Avenue Holiday Spectacular at the luxurious Salmagundi Art and Country Club, a beautiful Victorian mansion on Manhattan's renowned Fifth Avenue on December 15th.  I performed the fabulous "Mele Kalikimuka / Hawaiian Christmas" along with friend and recording artist and SAG actor Lovari who accompanied me playing the Ukulele.  The 9th Avenue group provides support and fellowship for LGBT people who are dealing with addiction and recovery.

Halloween Tricks AND Treats

Halloween, the time of the year when we get dressed up in outrageous costumes and hit the streets looking for "Tricks" and "Treats."  Well, for some of us, every day is Halloween!  But its even more fun when a holiday comes along where we can revel in the spookiness of the Night!  I had a ghoulish time in my designer Gothic lace skeleton gown at Amanda's Hide-A-Way (formally Carolyn's Oasis), a weekly Transgender night-out at the PL Lounge, 49 Louis Street in South Hackensack, New Jersey.  I had a great time with Amanda Lay as she spun the tunes as DJ and hostess Rita Knight, who gave us a spot-on impersonation as legendary diva Mae West.  Amanda's is a place where Male-2-Female Transgender ladies and their friends and admirers can gather in a fun yet safe space.
