Happy Birthday Miss Vera!

On Wednesday, November 14, me and my wonderful girlfriends at CDI (Cross Dressers International) held a fantastic birthday party for Miss Veronica Vera, founder and head-mistress of Miss Vera's Finishing School and author of the best-selling book, Cross Dress For Success! Miss Vera is so beautiful on the inside as well as obviously on the outside, and we all love and appreciated her for all she has done for helping with and creating acceptance for the art of Male to Female Transformation. Miss Vera is a GG (Genetic-born Female) and with her we celebrate our Femininity and the joy of being Lady Like. She has helped thousands of those who were born Male get in touch with their Femme side and enjoy the fantasy and freedom that comes with it. The sweet and pretty Rita Petite, reining President of CDI, Madelyn the VP and other dedicated helpers planed a most elegant and sophisticated soiree, complete with pink ribbons, balloons and other trimmings. A girly cake adorned with Daisies and other floral decorations was presented to Miss Vera. She also enjoyed opening up her gifts, which included a tea set and a cute stuffed magic dragon, we jokingly called Drag-On! All of us girls were literally Pretty in Pink, or at least Fuchsia, as we created our girly ensembles for the birthday bash. I loved what Pettie Pie wore most of all, with lace and frilly petti coats under her adorable Sissy girl dress, complete with pink bows and ribbons on her strawberry blond hair!

"Life's lovely when you're a Woman. . . Like Me!" "I enjoy being a Girl!"

Farm Girl in NY - Movie Premiere

On Thursday, November 15, I went to the premiere of the most fabulous and fun independent film, Farm Girl in New York. I had a small part in the film, playing a Drag Queen in a hilarious Gay Bar Scene. J. Robert Spencer — one fourth of Broadway's Jersey Boys — directed, created and has an acting role in the feature film he wrote with fellow Broadway star, A Chorus Line's Jeffrey Howard Schecter. Another actor named Josh Wade, also wrote and acted in the film. They spent many months producing, directing it and they're starring in Farm Girl during the day and then doing their Broadway shows at night. The film was a very enjoyable comedy that had the whole house laughing hysterically. The film had its World Premiere at the Tribeca Cinemas in NYC as part of the Big Apple Film Festival. They describe the film as Wedding Crashers meets Waiting for Guffman, but its also a touching love story. It's about two guys, (played by Jeffrey Schecter & Joshua Wade), who have no luck with women. So, they hold a fake audition in New York, based on a play that doesn't exist, just so they can meet hot chicks and get laid!

After the screeing there was a glamorous reception where I was
reunited with several actors who were in the movie along with others in the Cinematic Arts. J. Bobby Spencer, Jeff "Scheky" Schector, Peter Kapetan, J. Elaine Marcos and others from Farm Girl where there along with Sandra Gayle Jordon of Cabaret Notero's, Cher Impersonator Howie V, Joey Reynolds of 719 WOR Radio NY, President and Founder of Big Apple Film Festival Jonathan Marc Lipp and others.

Lovari and Clover at Escuelita

On Sunday, November 11, I was part of a red hot musical performance number starring the the R&B, House and Dance music singer/songwriter Lovari. He not only sang, but did some incredible dance moves with music from his upcoming album and also his number 1 single "All I Want is You." I was one of the special guest who were in his medley the other guests included: Ahmad, singer Mike DeBarge, andf Rachicca Pinnkett. The performance was part of Harmonica Sunbeam's at Tea Dance Sundays at Escuelita. It's an exciting Latino Dance Club in Midtown Manhattan. I had a wonderful time dancing on stage and also dancing on the dance floor with the many handsome guys who frequent the hot-spot. Suga Pie Coco also performed and music was spun by DJ Relentless!

Lovari independently released his second single, "All I Want Is You", which went to 1 on Hot 96 FM. It also made the Top 20 on various other radio stations across the U.S. There was also a resurgence of his debut single, "These Tears", which managed to make the Top Ten on the chart site JT30 and number 1 in Czech Republic! 2007 has so far been a breakthrough year for Lovari. FM and internet radio added his single "I Feel You" into rotation, which reached 2 on Hot 96 FM and became Lovari's top seller of his I-Tunes tracks.

Rosie O'Donnell at Lincoln Center

On Tuesday, November 6, my dear friend Rita treated me with a ticket to see the fabulous Rosie O'Donnell give a rare a special Comedy performance at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall. The event was a benefit for Rosie's Broadway Kids, an education organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children through the arts. Rosie hasn't done Stand-Up Comedy in a long time and this evening was the opening night of the NY Comedy Fest. Rosie was born and raised in Long Island and began her career doing Stand-Up in the NYC area. A special surprise guest performer was Roseanne Barr! Everyone enjoyed seeing the two plus-size funny girls. At the end, they sang "I Got You Babe/Bitch" with re-written lyrics that suited them perfectly. Rosie joked about how her daughter wanted to try walking in high-heeled shoes but even though there were two Mommies in the house, there were no high-heels. Rosie told her daughter that in a house with two Mommies, chances are there will be no high-heeled shoes. "However, in a house with two Daddies. . . ."

OUTloud Music

On Monday, November 5th, I rocked the house with a musical number as part of the Out Loud Musial Performance night at famous performance venue on the Lower East Side, Rockwood Music Hall. The event was produced by Out Music, an organization of Lesbian, Gay, Bi and Transgender musicians and supporters. The goal is to promote, share music and provide support in a safe, welcoming community. One of the songs I sang was "I'm just a girl who can't say 'No'" from Broadway although I joked that my New Jersey accent may not fit in with a song form "Oklahoma!" I also told some jokes about my difficulties in transitioning into a Lady, which requires more complex ways of sharing intimacy. Saying "no" isn't something Guys worry about or even do! The event was hosted by the hot Rock band called Telling on Trixie with lead singer Derek Nicoletteo and guitarist Brad Small. The band is thrilled to have a top ranking Music Video being broadcast on MTV's Logo Network! They guys gave a hot, electrifying performance that everyone loved! Also performing that evening were Robert Urban from the popular band R.U.B.,Latin dance/house music performer Lovari danced and sang some of his original music. Mary Edwards, Frank Grimaldi, John Raymond Pollard, Morrey Campbell and others also gave some excellent musical performances. The event is produced by PM Magazine columnist Jed Ryan, who is also adorable besides being an avid music lover and supporter!
