Pets in Dresses, Men without Shirts

I was thrilled to be a part of an evening of glamor, couture and high fashion where the superstar models who sashayed down the runway wearing stylish outfits were dogs and other critters that included cats, ferrets, turtles, bearded dragons, rabbits, hamsters, a pet chicken named Lady Gaga and my new dear pet Rocky, a Russian tortoise, who recently followed my home from the NY Metro Reptile Expo.  The annual fashion event was called Wow Wow Ugarte Pet Fashion Gala and it took place at the Toyota Ballroom at 645 11th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan in New York City on 4/29/2017. The night showcased the original creations of pet fashion designer Kevin Ugarte who introduced his 2018 line that included casual wear, elegant evening wear and elaborate fantasy costumes. A highlight of the evening featured a bevy of muscular male physique models who, along with Ugarte, strutted the runway sans-shirts walking large dogs. This special treat was done to promote the Hunks for Hounds calendar that includes hot photos of the fellows and dogs and raises funds for Philadoptables, a pet adoption organization in Philadelphia PA. URBAN ANIMALS host Tony Sawicki took to the stage wearing an Arabian Nights costume and holding a 7 foot yellow albino snake named Balboa.  I had a blast with Summer Strand, Rich Johnson (The Dog Show), Stacey McCosky, Robbyne Kaamil, models Zamueth Sosa and Andrew Joseph and many others.
