We LOVE The Golden Girls
On March 6, I was honored to be a performer at a special event that tributes the classic sitcom, TheGolden Girls. The soriee called "We Love The Golden Girls" took place at the legendary Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village NYC, where Drag Queens caused a Riot that sparked the modern Gay Civil Rights movement in 1969. This evening Queens who were born as both genders impersonated Dorothy, Blanche, Rose and Sophia of Miami in that fabulous 80s television comedy. There was a look-alike contest, cheesecake buffet with episodes playing on screen all evening. I sang "Little Girl from Little Rock" from "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" but changed the words and sang "I'm just a little girl from Saint Olaf." in honor or Rose Nieland. We all had a solid gold time with Linda Simpson, Queens Marie, Alexia, Raven Snook, Sharyn Jackson, Hatty Hathaway, Gayle Robbins as "Barbra Striesand" and many others.
I’m a Television Personality, Transgendered Socialite, Drag Diva Entertainer and Stand-Up Comediane with a busy, zestful social calendar. My name is Lady Clover Honey, which loosely translated means. “Lady with Abundance of Sweetness.” This Blog is to document and share my varied and unique experiences as a Lady which include -
Television production (Under the Pink Carpet), movie sets, live performances on grand stages (Carnegie) - to funky Downtown haunts – to Comedy Club / Cabaret Rooms (Caroline's on Broadway, Duplex, Laugh Factory) to the Broadway district stages ('When Joey Married Bobby') Plus socials, balls, premieres and parties that celebrate everything and anything. My favorite celebration is “Today.”
