Clover Honey a new Broadway Baby
I am thrilled to announce that I have been cast in the hit, critically acclaimed comedy, When Joey Married Bobby currently playing at the Arias Theater in the Broadway theater district of New York City at 400 W. 43rd Street. The show, written by GLAAD award-winning playwrights, William Wyatt, takes on the controversial subject of Gay Marriage in a hilarious way! The character I play is Charity Divine, a Southern Baptist Minister's Wife and and Chairperson of the Selection Committee for the coveted "Christian of the Year" award. The role was originated by the legendary Drag Icon Lady Bunny. Those are big pumps to fill - figuratively speaking, of course! I feel a little like Eva taking over for Zha Zha or Jan taking over for Marcia, but if anyone can fill in for Bunny, it's me!
Others is the stellar and diverse cast include original Village People Cowboy, Randy Jones, SAG award nominee Tina McKissick, Pro Detroit Tigers Baseball Pitcher Matt Pender, actor/MC Will Clark, Rebecca Smith, Dan Gershaw, Katie Cunningham and Judy Bennet.
I’m a Television Personality, Transgendered Socialite, Drag Diva Entertainer and Stand-Up Comediane with a busy, zestful social calendar. My name is Lady Clover Honey, which loosely translated means. “Lady with Abundance of Sweetness.” This Blog is to document and share my varied and unique experiences as a Lady which include -
Television production (Under the Pink Carpet), movie sets, live performances on grand stages (Carnegie) - to funky Downtown haunts – to Comedy Club / Cabaret Rooms (Caroline's on Broadway, Duplex, Laugh Factory) to the Broadway district stages ('When Joey Married Bobby') Plus socials, balls, premieres and parties that celebrate everything and anything. My favorite celebration is “Today.”
