Big Gay Musical DVD Release Gala

I just love acting in movies!! First you have fun acting on set, then about a year later you enjoy the cinematic premiere gala, then you have a blast at the DVD release party. On April 6, I attended the DVD release of my latest film, the amazing musical-comedy call Big Gay Musical. It is the only movie where I appear both as a man and as a woman. I'm a lady performer at The Duplex and I also show up as a man to date Paul, the lead character. I'm so glad that this film is available on DVD now! I had a blast re-uniting with director Casper Andreas and cast members including Joey Dudding, Daniel Robinson, Steve Hayes, and Rick Skye - who is an amazing Liza impersonator and puppeteer of the legendary Madame! The release party took place at Club Therapy in New York City's Broadway theater district.

Fearless People Video

After the Expo, I went with Lovari to take part in an exciting MTV / Logo network Video Shoot for a song called Fearless People by J Fortino. The location of the shoot was at a Boxing Gym in Soho were we were joined by other dance recording artists Heather Leigh West and Dawn Tallman. There were some very sexy Boxers in the video and I played a girlfriend of one of the fighters. The video was directed by Frances Legge. I felt just like Barbara Streisand in The Main Event. Mike Diamond come by to do a news report on the video and I gave him a comical interview for Fierth.com.

GLBT Expo Video Lounge and Rodeo

It was time again for the annual GLBT Expo at NYC's Jacob Javitz Convention Center. I had the honor of being the hostess at the official Video Lounge sponsored by the Long Island Film Festival and managed by TV personality Ryan Wolowski. The cast of Under the Pink Carpet was also there to co-host with me and we screened special segments of our tv series and met fans. Tony Sawicki, Stephanie Butler, Robin Cloud and recording artist Lovari, who performs the opening theme song, Work It Out, were all there and we had a fantastic time. It was great to see the hundreds of exhibition tables of Gay and gay-friendly businesses, media and community organizations. We video taped a segment for Under the Pink Carpet were I had a thrilling time riding the Mechanical Bull at the exhibit for the Gay Rodeo!

We LOVE The Golden Girls

On March 6, I was honored to be a performer at a special event that tributes the classic sitcom, The Golden Girls. The soriee called "We Love The Golden Girls" took place at the legendary Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village NYC, where Drag Queens caused a Riot that sparked the modern Gay Civil Rights movement in 1969. This evening Queens who were born as both genders impersonated Dorothy, Blanche, Rose and Sophia of Miami in that fabulous 80s television comedy. There was a look-alike contest, cheesecake buffet with episodes playing on screen all evening. I sang "Little Girl from Little Rock" from "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" but changed the words and sang "I'm just a little girl from Saint Olaf." in honor or Rose Nieland. We all had a solid gold time with Linda Simpson, Queens Marie, Alexia, Raven Snook, Sharyn Jackson, Hatty Hathaway, Gayle Robbins as "Barbra Striesand" and many others.

Beareokae@ Rockbar

I am thrilled and honored to be the hostess of BEAREOKE @ Rockbar. It's a Kareoke night sponsored by the Metrobears, a social networking organization for gay men who identify as Bears, Cubs, Otter and their friends and admirers. Bears are men who like their size and body hair and feel no need to fit into the twink or gym bunny stereo type. But everyone is welcome to come to BEAREOKE and have a good time. Two Football teams from the NYGFL (New York Gay Footbal League) from Rock Bar and Gym Bar attended and I had the best time with all thy guys. The event takes place every other Thursday at Rockbar, a bar on Christopher Street in Greenwich Village NYC that has the most exciting rock and band performances.

Spring BINGO

It was time for Center BINGO again! It's what Time Out NY magazine calls a New York City essential and a fantastic evening. After this long, harsh winter and the sudden emergence of warm Springtime weather, I grabbed a pastel pink gown AND wig to symbolize a new budding rose on an Easter egg shell! My co-hostess for the evening was Appolonia Cruz, the Latina Diva extraordinaire. We had a great time. Although our bare-chested physique model, Tass, didn't show up again! However, I persuaded a gorgeous young man named Markos to take his shirt off. And the crowd went wild!!

Center BINGO Snowstorm

"Outside it is Winter, but in here it is so HOT, we have to battle to keep the boys from taking off all their clothing, so don't go away, tonight we may loose the battle." That line from Broadway's Cabaret was the first thing I said at February's Center Bingo, since the event took place in spite of the two-day snow storm! But thank goodness I have many fans who braved the frightful weather outside to come and see me. Or maybe they just wanted to win the $500 jackpot, those greedy beyoches! I wore green sequins to symbolize the awakening of springtime and green earth after this long, frigid winter. I had the two most sexy young assistants to help me out, since there were three of us blonds, I jokingly referred to us as the Brady Bunch girls. I'm still looking for a handsome Mike, Greg or Peter to wisk me away to Hawaii or the Grand Canyon.

When Joey Married Bobby

I had the pleasure of attending the premiere of a fabulous new off-Broadway comedy called "When Joey Married Bobby" that starred the legendary Drag Icon Lady Bunny as Charity Divine, a minister's wife, and the gorgeous former Detroit Tiger Pitcher Matt Pender as Joey. I covered the show as a correspondent for the TV series, Under the Pink Carpet. The play also features Tina McKissik as a Southern Matriarch frantically trying to plan a wedding, and a Christmas Pageant while tying to win a coveted "Christian of the Year Award." I also loved the performance of Joey's Best Man, William Yoder. I had a wonderful time at the celebrity studded premiere gala mingling with many of my friends including Frank DeCaro (Sirius Out Q Radio), original Village People Cowboy Randy Jones, Bob Montgomery (Homocomicus), recording artist Athena Reich, Steven Schulman (SaSi PR), Tony Sawciki (Under the Pink Carpet), Mel Reyes, Jed Ryan (DishMiss.com)and others. After the premiere, I headed down to Baracuda lounge with Jed Ryan for an impromptu performance.
