Curating Visual Art Showcase in SoHo

I was thrilled and honored to curate and produce a fantastic visual art showcase called "Bright Lights Queer City" at the legendary Leslie Lohman Gay Art Foundation in the arts SoHo district in New York City as part of the annual Fresh Fruit Festival. The show featured images that celebrated Gay and Lesbian Nightlife in New York City. The show was co-curated by dear friend and SAG actor/recording artist Lovari and the opening night reception was hosted by Michael Musto of the Village Voice. The event rocked the Art and Nightlife communities with a jam-packed premiere that attracted over 700 attendees.

Richards, Charles Leslie, Patrick Askin, Rob Ordonez, Peter Pony Clement, recording artists Kid Akimbo, Ariel Aparicio, Soce the Elemental Wizard, J. Fortino and India Mendelsohn, club kids Demanda Darling, Matthew Herra C and Chip Cirrhosis, drag divas Sahara Davenport and Manila Luzone from RuPaul's Drag Race, Sherry Vine and more! Cavalcade of Fruits - Festival Preview

It was so much fun to be the Hostess / MC for a preview showcase of performing artists that will be featured in the 2011 Fresh Fruit Festival. The event was called the Cavalcade of Fruits and took place at the LGBT Center in New York City on July 7th. The Fresh Fruit Festival is an diverse and fabulous annual celebration of LGBT arts in New York City. It such an entertaining pleasure to meet all the talented and creative people who participate in the fest!
