Fresh Fruit Festival Honors Fierce Art

I was thrilled and honored to be a performer at, and the MC/Hostess of, the annual Fresh Fruit Festival Awards, held on April 30th at the legendary and very chic Player's Club at 19 Gramercy Park South in New York City. The awards, affectionately known as "The Fruities" honor outstanding art and performance in the Festival and also give kudos to outstanding dedication and devotion to the Arts and the LGBT Communities.  The Fresh Fruit Festival is NYC's grassroots, multidisciplinary international festival of LGBT arts & culture.  City Council members Rosie Mendez and Gail Brewer were among those who celebrated with our fruity friends and family who make the NYC Gay arts scene.

Jersey Chic Birthday Bash!

It was all wigs and Jersey Couture glamour as I made an appearance at the spectacular Birthday Bash of Rita Knight at Amanda's Hide-A-Way at the Pleasure P&L Lounge in South Hackensack, New Jersey on April 27th.  It happened at the largest and most exciting weekly party in Garden State for M2F Transgendered Ladies and their friends and admirers.  Rita is a dear friend who is known for her many impersonations of Mae West, Cruella DeVil, Poison Ivy, Lady Joker and many renditions of brightly colorful, big-haired divas!  The huge crowd was treated to a hilarious special performance by "Queen of Green" Hedda Lettuce! Cross-Dressers, Drag Queens, Trans-Ladies, and friends from the Jersey Shore to the George Washington Bridge and beyond, all had a blast celebrating the Birthday of our outrageous diva comrade Rita Knight

'International Fashionistas' Glamour with Sunglasses

I had a fantastic time making my appearance at the International Fashionistas Spring issue edition Launch Party with a fierce Fashion Show by Mercura Sunglasses.  It was an exciting, chic and glamorous happening that celebrated the Spring edition of International Fashionistas, the style journal that is taking the fashion world by storm, both here in New York and overseas. The event took place on April 17 at Toshi's Living Room and Penthouse located in the trendy Flatiron Boutique Hotel, 9 West 26th Street, New York City and hosted by founder Elle Madrona and actress and Millennium magazine spokesmodel Amanda Greer. Special guests included "Fashionista of the Month" author and life-coach Susan Korwin and NYC Socialite Eric Andrew. I had a blast with photographer Rob Ordonez, models Alex Jimenez, Daniel Coppella, Alexa Nicole, Television hostess Cognac Wellerlane and so many others in the Fashion and Media industries.

'Time Out New York' magazine covers 'Gowns'

Pick out a copy of the current issue of Time OUT New York magazine with a pretty picture of the Lady Clover Honey.  I'm so happy to have my image be included in an article about the most fabulous fundraiser, the Night of a Thousand Gowns, held recently at The Hilton New York in Midtown Manhattan. The photo was snapped by the gorgeous and talented event/nightlife photographer Michael Alexander. Not only did everyone have a fabulous time, but the Imperial Court of NY raised much needed funds for for two community charities, GMHC and GLAAD.

Night of a Thousand Gowns

The Imperial Court of New York's annual Night of a Thousand Gowns  Gala, held on April 6th, raised funds for GMHC and GLAAD with more heels, sequins, beads, jewels and lipstick than any La Cage revival!  The drag charity ball, held in the Hilton Broadway Ballroom in Midtown Manhattan, crowned the town's new reigning monarchs, Emperor Wen-Dee Bouvier Pinkhouse, the Rock 'n' Roll Emperor of Peace, Love, Unity and Respect and Empress Gracie Steeles, the Stiletto Heeled Jersey Girl Empress. The gala featured performances by Taylor Dane (Tell It To My Heart) and RuPaul's All Star's Champion Chad Michaels as "Cher".  Elvis Duran, award winning host of the nationally syndicated Elvis Duran and the Morning Show was honored with an Imperial Diamond Award. Actor and GLAAD Spokesperson Wilson Cruz (Coffee Date, My So-Called Life) was honored with a Knighthood!  I was so thrilled to be a part of the evening having a glittering time on and off the red carpet with Wilson, Elvis and Gerald McCullouch (CBS' CSI-Crime Scene Investigation), Jed Ryan (Mr. Rawhide), Rod Ordonez (Mr. Paddles), a Direwolf from HBO'Game of Thrones, recording artist Adam Barta, artist Tracy Von Becker, videographer Francis LeggeAnu Singh, Leslie Lohman Art Museum Director Jerry Kajpust, fashion designer Geary Marcello (Foxxy Face Couture) promoters Jamie T Ranieri and Mark Schultephotographers Jason Russo (Hey Mr Jason) and Andrew Werner courtiers Johnny Luckie, Audra Foxx, Michael JC Anderson, Billie Little and many other regal, royal and fabulous friends!

Art, Fashion, Music for Sandwiches

Charity was never so fashionable! On April 2nd, it was national Peanut Butter and Jelly Day. One Sandwich at a Time took the opportunity to bring us their most successful event so far.  On April 5th, luminaries from the Art, Fashion, Performance, Bear, Drag and Leather communities all got together to raise funds and make sandwiches for the hungry and homeless of NYC.  The event took place at The LGBT Community Center of NYC and was hosted by celebrity/fashion photographer Rob Ordonez (aka Mr. Paddles 2013).  The happening featured a fashion show with creations by designer Geary Marcello (Foxxy Face Couture) with musical performances by recording artist Lovari and and parody performer Bear-Donna.  I also gave a performance, live singing "Hanky Panky" while being paddled by Ordonez.  When you have access to the reigning Mr. Paddles, you take advantage!  I think I enjoyed myself a little too much!  I had a great time with Jed Ryan (Mr. Rawhide), fashion designer Marco Santaniello, artist Will Chiapella, artist Carmine Santaniello, author/stylist Susan Korwin, photographer Steven Molofsky, model Sarah McKenna Bohannon, model Monica Lauren and many others!
