Pageant Fundraiser of Glamour

I had a wonderful time as part of a special and fabulous Pageant fundraiser called "Miss Sobriety" which benefits the Big Apple Round Up, a non-profit group that organizes an annual conference and fellowship events for LGBT members of the AA recovery program. The event took place on September 28th at the Lab School Theater in Chelsea, New York City.  I live-sang "Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend" a la Moulin Rouge accompanied by singer/songwriter SAG actor Lovari.

"Get Out!" Magazine Coverage Village People Wedding

Pretty in Print!  A photo of me and two dear friends Lovari and Tristan Mayfield was published in the lastest issue "Get Out!" weekly magazine and the premiere guide to LGBT New York, on page 27 of issue #127 09/25/2013! It was taken by renowned event photographer Jason Russo of Hey Mister Jason Photography at the celebration reception of the legal wedding of good pals Randy Jones (original Village People Cowboy) and Will Grega at the Penthouse terrace of the DL Lounge on Delancey Street in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, New York City on September 15, 2013.  Pick up an issue if you get a chance.

Village People Cowboy Legally Wed!

I had a wonderful time at the gala reception for the legal wedding of my dear friends, Randy Jones,  the original Cowboy of classic disco group The Village People and composer Will Grega.  The soiree took place in the Penthouse atrium of The DL nightclub, 95 Delancey Street, New York City, on September 13th.  At also attended a wedding reception that the couple had in 2004, but back then, New York State law didn't recognize same-gender wedding nuptials.  But this time Randy and Will became fully and lawfully wedded spouses and we couldn't celebrate enough.   I had a great time with actor Keith Collins, celebrity author Mark Bego, Olympic Gold Medal Champion Ice Skater Rob Shmalo, recording artist/actor Lovari, comedian Robbyne Kaamil, promoter Mark Schulte, "The Naked Cowboy" of Times Square, Warrington Gillete (Jason from Friday the 13th) media specialist Brian Christopher Cummings, columnist Michael Musto, and many more!

LGBT for Quinn - Get OUT the Vote

On Friday, September 6th, just days before the New York State Primary Election, I was part of an amazing event that will help change World History as the new Mayor of the great City of New York will hopefully, for the very first time, be a woman and be openly Gay.  The event was called LGBT for Quinn, Get OUT the Vote and took place at the historic Stonewall Inn (53 Christopher Street, Greenwich Village, New York City), the place that sparked the modern Gay Civil Rights movement with a rebellion in 1969. Christine Quinn is the most qualified candidate, endorsed by all the newspapers and has what it takes to get things done.  Others in the event were Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney, Senators Brad Hoylman and Tom Duane, Assembly Members Danny O'Donnell and Matt Titone, NY City Council Members Rosie Mendez and Jimmy VanBramer, Broadway Star Cheyenne Jackson, Country Western Music Icon Chely Wright, recording artist Lovari, Durrell Arthur, Keith Taylor, Tym Moss, Melissa Sklarz, Judy Gold, Edie Windsor, David Mixner, Erik Bottcher, Tom Smith, Robbyne Kaamil, Charles Winters, Michele Balan, Judy Gold and many more!
