April 5th was the 16th annual New York Tartan Day Parade where a grand parade march went up 6th Avenue/Avenue of the Americas to 55th Street in New York City to celebrate the culture and historic links between Scotland and the USA. We all had a rousing, wonderful time with all the bagpipe music, marching bands, drummers, Celtic dancers, flag twirlers, and others having a Scotch blast! Ancestral clans and Scottish organizations all decked out in their traditional tartans got the chance to march down the Avenue and show their heritage. And where else can anyone ever get the chance to see hundreds of handsome men in kilts?
