Halloween Queen at Dance 208

I love Halloween with all the fantastic scary howling and festivities! I also adore the gluttony of candy, wigs, costumes, make-up and roaming the streets, looking for Tricks and Treats! For me, everyday is Halloween and one of the most screaming Halloween traditions is the Halloween bash at Dance 208 at The LGBT Community Center of New York City! I made a special bewitching appearance and help with the judging of the costume contest! A well-hung unicorn won this year - a bug horn always wows and audience! I had the best of time with DJ Vito Fun, spooky Art by David Avielles, Drag legend Rollerina, Will Clark, Joe Fiore, Crown Princess Paprika, Crown Prince Vanity, Rolanda Rose, Mark Schulte and many others.

'Get Some' Television Series Party

I was thrilled to be part of a fundraiser event that also announced the creation of a sexy and hilarious new television sitcom called "Get Some". The show has four Gay and Lesbian characters called Peter, Corey, Benjamin and Naomi. I hosted the Drag Bingo portion of the show and tried out some new jokes that went over extremely well! Also in the show were recording artists Athena Reich and Daniel Gray and comedian Shawn Hollenbach. We all had a great time and we raised funds for a talented indie production that's not afraid to use LGBT characters and be cutting-edge.

Out in the NBA: John Amaechi at Boxers!

I was thrilled to meet the openly Gay professional NBA Basketball player John Amaechi this week at Boxer's Gym bar. Amaechi is the first and only NBA star to come Out as a Gay man. And this was the historic first time an openly Gay athlete made an appearance at a Gay Sports Bar! John is such a wonderful person with a heart as tall as a skyscraper!

La Cage Aux Folles CD Release Gala

I was so happy to make an appearance at the official release party for the CD Cast Recording of Broadway's newest revival of La Cage Aux Folles at the Barnes & Nobel Triangle Flagship store at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York City. All of the star performers showed up for the festivity including Kelsey Grammer (also known for playing Emmy-award winning Fraiser on network TV) and Douglas Hodge who plays the fabulous Drag performer Albin (Za Za) who was supposed to be banned from meeting the family of their son's fiancee. The legendary Harvey Firestein, who wrote the book for the musical, was also there as well as the fierce chorus dancers, La Cagelles.

Fresh Fruit Nuyorican Cabaret

I love doing live Cabaret performances and I had a wonderful time hosting and performing at the Fresh Fruit Festival's monthly performance art variety showcase called The Fresh Fruit Playhouse. The event took place at the renowned East Village showroom called The Nuyorican Poet's Cafe, home of the original poetry slam. It was an amazing show with Frank Calo, Jed Ryan, India M., Patrick O'Hare, Kelli Dunham, Mary Lauren, Miki Alvarez, Noriel Galiano and many others.
