Make the Season Bright and Red

It's the Holiday Season, so "Don we now, our GAY apparel" and I dressed up like on of Santa's Helpers with a red ruby necklace and red mini-dress and other accessories including white fishnet hose and hit Mid-town Manhattan to make the Yuletide Gay! My girlfriend Madrlyn joined me, she's camera shy and didn't get into the photos, but she's fabulous and loads of fun. We made our appearances at Bartini Ultra Lounge where the Dynasty Review show took place and then to The Ritz, where I was joined by the fabulous recording artist Chevonne (bottom photo) singing her breakout hit "I Hung a Mistletoe."

NYCGMC Holiday Spectacular Concert

On December 19th, the New York City Gay Men's Chorus performed their annual Holiday Spectacular concert at Town Hall in the Times Square Broadway district of New York City. The over-200 singing members of the Chorus performed beautifully under the artistic direction of conductor Dr. Charles Beale. Special guest vocalist was the amazing Liz Callaway of Broadway (Merrily We Roll Along, Baby, Miss Saigon) Film and Cabaret. After the concert we headed down to the post-event after-party at the posh VIG 27 nightclub in the Murray Hill Park Avenue area. I had an amazing time with my dear and talented friends who sing with such harmony and fun in the Chorus!

Artist Yeikov Bermudez had some dark, sensual erotic artwork on display from his Imagery of the Men collection from Y Not Creations. Lady Clover Honey's Holiday Drag Bag Shopping Hints in GayCities

I was delighted to give my helpful shopping Holiday Drag Bag hints in a fun news article at GayCities.

"GayCities editor JJ Keyes surveyed America’s top drag queens to get a fix on their xmas gift wish list. He caught up with New York’s Lady Clover Honey, the drag diva correspondent on Under the Pink Carpet, while she was prepping for a special holly-jolly appearance at Twinkle, the Dance 208 Holiday Dance (December 18 at The LGBT Center of NYC, 9 pm).

Lady Clover Honey's Holiday Drag Bag:

1. Make-up supplies from MAC Cosmetics because there’s no such thing as natural beauty.

2. Necklace and matching earrings from Tiffany's because it don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got that Bling!

3. Gift certificate from the Victoria's Secret because it’s better to say “Ho, Ho, Ho” than “No, no, no” and nothing keeps the season brighter than slipper-satin lingerie!

4. Whips and riding crops from Tie Me Down because we wish you a kinky Christmas. I Saw Daddy Spanking Santa Clause! Mommy can keep the kissing!!

5. Gift certificate to a Gay Bathhouse Spa but only for steaming facial pours open. And since the rumors about Travolta came out celebrity spotting at the Baths has never been more in Vogue!"

Lady Clover Honey Named a "Hero" in News Article

I just found out that I was mentioned in a fascinating news article where I was listed as a Hero! The article was written by artist and journalist Alina Oswald and I am thrilled and honored to be mentioned in this way! I am called an "individual who has empowered and inspired, while transforming lives in the most positive and significant way."

"
Clover Welsh, a.k.a. Lady Clover Honey, is the first openly transgender correspondent to appear on a national TV show—Under the Pink Carpet, an LGBT news and entertainment show. She has performed on stage and on screen, in large and small production films. She writes in a gossip/news/dish column—Dish Miss—and curated art shows like Strike A Pose – Gender Id in 2008, hosted by SoHo’s Leslie-Lohman gallery. Lady Clover Honey is a fixture in New York City social and entertainment life and in the city’s annual Gay Pride Parade.

Lady Clover Honey cherishes her connection with the universe, and also wants to do her part and help others here, on earth. Therefore, she reaches out to the person who is afraid to go out dressed as a woman because people would throw stuff at him. She reaches out to all individuals and encourages them to be who they truly are, to come out of the closets of their lives. While she is very aware that coming out is not always easy or safe, she hopes that “We all have to respect one another, because we’re all children of God, with different ways to express ourselves.”

She’s always been an optimist, especially when it comes to gay rights, when she believes that we make progress every year. “I do have hope,” Lady Clover Honey says. “We’ve come a long way and we have a long way more to go.”

Halloween Queen at Dance 208

I love Halloween with all the fantastic scary howling and festivities! I also adore the gluttony of candy, wigs, costumes, make-up and roaming the streets, looking for Tricks and Treats! For me, everyday is Halloween and one of the most screaming Halloween traditions is the Halloween bash at Dance 208 at The LGBT Community Center of New York City! I made a special bewitching appearance and help with the judging of the costume contest! A well-hung unicorn won this year - a bug horn always wows and audience! I had the best of time with DJ Vito Fun, spooky Art by David Avielles, Drag legend Rollerina, Will Clark, Joe Fiore, Crown Princess Paprika, Crown Prince Vanity, Rolanda Rose, Mark Schulte and many others.

'Get Some' Television Series Party

I was thrilled to be part of a fundraiser event that also announced the creation of a sexy and hilarious new television sitcom called "Get Some". The show has four Gay and Lesbian characters called Peter, Corey, Benjamin and Naomi. I hosted the Drag Bingo portion of the show and tried out some new jokes that went over extremely well! Also in the show were recording artists Athena Reich and Daniel Gray and comedian Shawn Hollenbach. We all had a great time and we raised funds for a talented indie production that's not afraid to use LGBT characters and be cutting-edge.
